Frequently asked questions
Boros
What is Boros?
Boros is a marketplace for buying and selling Roblox games, in euros or in US dollars. The seller lists their game for sale, the buyer pays on Boros, and the seller is only paid once the game has been transferred.
Is Boros owned by Roblox?
No. Boros is an independent site: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation.
Is selling a Roblox game allowed?
Roblox's community rules prohibit most transactions made outside the platform, but provide an exception for transferring the rights to your own creations as part of a verifiable agreement. Everyone remains responsible for following Roblox's terms of use.
Buying
How do I buy a game?
You pick a game, say where you want to receive it (your account or one of your groups), then pay on Boros. The seller has 7 days to transfer the game to you with Roblox's tool.
Can I negotiate the price?
Yes, privately. Open a conversation with the seller and make your offer in messages. If they accept it, you pay that price.
What if the seller doesn't transfer the game?
They have 7 days. After that, the order is canceled and you get a refund.
What happens after the transfer?
You still have a protection period, shown on the listing, to check that the game is really yours and report a problem. The seller is only paid after that.
Am I buying the game only, or the whole group?
It depends on the listing: the seller sells either the game only, or the whole group that owns it. This is shown on each listing.
Selling
How do I sell my game?
Sign in with your Roblox account, choose the game, set your price and submit your listing. Our team reviews it before it goes live.
Which games can I sell?
Only a game that is yours: on your account, or in a group you own.
How much does a listing cost?
Nothing. Listing a game for sale is free, and there is no subscription. The 5% security fee is only deducted if the game is sold.
When do I get paid?
Once the transfer has been verified on Roblox and the protection period has ended. The payout then reaches your account within a few business days.
Payment and fees
What are the fees?
The buyer pays a 5% protection fee, on top of the game's price. The seller has a 5% security fee, deducted from what they receive. For a €1,000 game, the buyer pays €1,050 and the seller receives €950.
Where is my money during the sale?
It is held by our payment provider. The seller can't touch it until the transfer has been confirmed on Roblox and the protection period has ended.
In which language, and in what currency?
The site is available in French and in English. Each seller sets their price in euros or in US dollars, and the price is shown in that currency.
Safety
Does Boros see my Roblox password?
No. You sign in on Roblox's website, and Boros only receives your identity: your username, your display name and your profile picture.
Does Boros hold the game during the sale?
No. The seller transfers the game directly to the buyer with Roblox's tool. Boros only holds the money, long enough to check that the transfer really happened.
Why are links disabled?
To limit scams, links are disabled in messages and listings. A payment made outside Boros has no protection.
What if there is a disagreement?
A Boros moderator looks at what Roblox says and at the messages exchanged on the site, then decides: either the buyer gets a refund, or the seller is paid. The money stays held until their decision.
Your account
How old do you have to be?
At least 13. Between 13 and the age of majority, you need the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
How do I contact Boros?
From the Contact us page, once you are signed in, or on our Discord.
